Entrepreneurship Today

Welcome to today’s edition of entrepreneurship today from Treasure Network. We are glad bringing this program to you weekly and we appreciate your commitment to read all we bring your way.

Last week we talked about finding your passion and earning from it. We also stressed that passion is needed for your business to overcome its challenges and experience true gainful growth.

On today’s edition of entrepreneurship today we would be discussing another interesting quality which every entrepreneur must posses to experience growth. We would be discussing INNOVATION.

They was a time rodents find their way into my house. In getting rid of them I used different methods until I finally eradicated all. Hence validating the saying there are many ways to kill a rat. Using different methods was me being innovative.

Innovation According to Oxford Advanced dictionary is ” the introduction of new things, ideas or ways of doing something…..” Innovation means introducing something new. This can be a process, model, idea, product or a service. For example, introducing an idea or a new equipment that can reduce the electricity consumption by some percentage is an innovation.

Innovation is the key to growth, without it most start ups and organizations would forever be stuck doing the same old things, the same old way. New products, new services and new ways of doing business would never emerge.

An entrepreneur with vision and passion for his business might attain great heights but if he lacks innovation he wouldn’t survive long in the competitive world of business.

Innovation calls for creativity and new thinking. Innovation does not mean invention. Invention is creating something new from scratch while innovation creates change and add value to existing product or service.

Think of Jeff Bezos ( Amazon) who built an online book selling business in a world of brick and mortar booksellers. Or moving the world to electronic readers by coming up with Kindle and a digital bookstore.

You may say ” I’m not innovative” but let me ask you a question. What will you do, when driving and you notice too much traffic on your current route? Of course, you will find another route with less traffic. Its natural, almost everybody does that. That is innovation. Finding something and exploring ways to do it better. We are all innovative, the difference is some put their innovative mind to use while others don’t.

Though we are all innovative by instinct, there are certain catalyst which spurs our innovative mind. These catalyst are : economic changes, technological changes, new knowledge, new market, etc. These things make a person think of a new product, services or business process. Innovation helps an organization to be strong and competitive in the business world.

Opportunities abound around us, find these opportunities, use them to solve problems and as you think about technology, think about the problems and many things you can solve with technology.

Thank you for staying with us. You are welcome to yet another edition of Love and you.We shall be looking at the part 1 of UNDERSTAND HER LOVE  LANGUAGE , as we shall be focusing on the topic:

WORDS OF AFFIRMATION using the ideas of Dr. Chapman.

“I feel safest when I hear how he thinks and feels about me. The words “I love you” warm my heart. But hearing why he loves me? That sends me straight to heaven.”

Conversely, rudeness, insults, and even a harsh tone deeply injure those whose love language is words of affirmation.

love isn’t always communicated in a way that the recipient responds best to. The reason for this is that partners rarely share the same love language. for example, using a married couple, her husband tries to show her he loves her with bear hugs and by dancing with her in the kitchen. The wife is so sad to admit that cuddling is just not her thing. At the same time, she tried to show her husband how much she love him through countless acts of service. She cook every single meal and ensure the house is spotless before he’s home. But because his primary love language is not acts of service, these efforts are often lost on him. Yes, he appreciates her gestures. But whether the dishes are clean or the floors are shining do not reflect how loved he feels. He feels most cherished with a simple face rub just before bed.

Everyone appreciates receiving all of the love languages. Even if your partner’s primary love language isn’t words of affirmation, you can benefit from these skills. It’s not just about letters, text messages, phone calls, or emails here and there. It’s not about filling our days with deep conversations either. It’s as much the content of what you say as how you say it. For words of affirmation to have any impact, it’s necessary to put time, thought, and yes, love into them.

If you are looking for more meaningful ways to express your feelings to the one you love whose love language is words of affirmation, using this attributes will help a great deal, and for once, your words might actually speak louder than your actions.

-I regret/I’m sorry for . . .

-Next time, I’ll try to . . .

-I could’ve done ___ better today . .

-You must have been (upset, confused, etc.) when I . . .

Nothing fills her up more than hearing her husband notice all the little things she does for him. Whether he sends her a quick thank you text for the delicious lunch she made, or he lists all the actions he appreciates, his thankfulness shows her that he doesn’t take her for

granted. Simple heartfelt gratitude gives extra meaning and purpose to our daily actions.

-I appreciate that you . . .

-I couldn’t ___ today if it weren’t for you . . .

-I am thankful that you . . .

-I’m glad to have you as my (mom, sister, friend, etc.) because . . .

-I believe in you because . . .

-It impressed me when you . . .

-The good news is . . .

-When you need something to lift your spirits, just remember that . . .

A great way to empathize with someone’s emotions, even if you don’t quite understand them, is to reflect on what they may be feeling or thinking. Paraphrase what you can tell they might be going through.

-It must be really tough that you . . .

-I can’t imagine how hard

-it must be for you to . . .

-That sounds . . . Is that right?

-I could see how you would feel that way because . . .

Show your loved one that you respect him or her by speaking politely and giving compliments. Be specific and sincere. When you do disagree on something, refrain from making judgmental statements. Reach out by asking questions or offering to talk about it more instead.

-Great job . . .

-I’m so thankful to have you in my life because . . .

-I wish I could ___ the way you do.

-It makes me happy when you . . .

-I’m proud of you for . . .

As an act of love, words of affirmation should be focused on the other person, not on yourself. NOTE.

This is  LOVE and YOU on

Entrepreneurship Today

Whether it’s a classic entrepreneur like John D. Rockefeller or a new comer to the scene like Alifa Nicholas, one thing is common: they found their passion and risked all to follow it.

Welcome to another exciting edition of entrepreneurship today from Treasure Network. We appreciate your commitment, likes, comments and shares. We do hope to continue adding value to you every week.

Last week, we discussed the very heart of being an entrepreneur which is the ability to be visionary and we concluded that every entrepreneur has the ability to have a vision as the only requirement is imagination. Today we would be discussing PASSION: the fuel that drives the engine of every successful business.

Passion is one of the intangibles that drives an entrepreneur, gets them through the good and difficult times, and ultimately dictates the success of any startup. The truth is, if you are not passionate about what you are building, you might as well pack up your bags now as your startup might never work.

Webster’s dictionary defined passion as ” an intense driving or overmastering feeling of conviction” or ” a strong desire for or devotion to some activity or concept”. I couldn’t have defined it any better.

Passion is the fuel that drives every entrepreneur. This passion is usually instilled by love or a fundamental knowledge of the product or service that is being built.

This passion further translates into an infectious enthusiasm that feeds the energy and drive of every employee in your business. This passion feeds and fuels your vision. It is the glue that holds your business together and get it through its most difficult times.

We are all passionate about something ( yes including you), we all have something we love. Something we know very well and enjoy doing.

Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook) has his passion in computer programming and he created something to connect his classmates but today he is connecting the world and making billions.

Tara Fela Durotoye ( House of Tara) had a passion to see ladies step out looking gorgeous with good facial makeup. She has since turned her passion for facial makeup into a multimillion naira business.

Jason Njoku ( iROKO TV), has turned his passion for movies into a successful global media empire. The baseline is, we are all passionate about something. It maybe computer programming, cooking, baking, speaking, writing, knitting, gardening, racing, travelling, teaching or maybe an emotional issue like raising children with special needs. Regardless of what it is, we all love doing something and we could use that to our advantage by yielding social and economic benefits.

Passion is a quality every human possess. It is not exclusive to any superhuman. Passion is an invaluable quality in building a successful business. It is as good as currency. You may not get what you are passionate about, but you will never get what you are not passionate about. Make a conscious decision to put your passion into gainful use.

I leave you with this advise from Nick woodman (Founder and CEO of GoPro) “……your passions are one of your most obvious guides. They lead you along life’s path and whether that’s to your career or to the people that lead you to your career”.

On Heralds this week is …….

A mentor and a father to so many people globally, he is an ucommon personallity that is characterised with an unbeatable lifestyle of Humility.

He is …..

He was born on the 2nd of march 1948 in Iferewa, Osun state, Nigeria. He was born into a  poor family and they were really poor that he once stated humorously that even the poor called his family poor. Daddy GO as he is aslo called never owned shoes until he was 18 years. Now this background issues that could have being set back to so many in the world of today did not in any way put the young Enoch’s back on the ground. He was rather so determined and focused to succeed hence was unequivocally consistent in diligence. He attended the Ilesha Grammar school in osun state where his interest for mathematics was clearly spelt out. He attended the famous University of Nigeria Nsuka where he obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics in 1967, still in 1967 he got married to his beloved wife Foluke Adenike Adeboye and marriage was blessed with four children three boys and one girl alongside their so many grand and great grand children today. Daddy GO didn’t stop schooling after his BSc as he later proceeded to obtain his MSc in Hydrodynamics in 1969 and  a PhD in applied mathematics in 1975 from the university of Lagos, Lagos state, Nigeria. All this academic zeal was majorly out of his ambition to become the youngest vice Chancellor of any of the famous Nigerian universities. But just as its always said God has the final say in every issue. He joined the RCCG in 1973 while he still worked as a lecturer with the University of Lagos and Ilorin. After joining the RCCG he started he began working to translate the sermons of its founder and then Pastor, Rev. Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi, from Yoruba language into English language. By 1977 he was ordained a pastor in RCCG and by 1981 he was ordained the General overseer when the founder passed on to glory. He worked part time for three years after his ordination before resigning lecturing to settle for preaching the gospel fully. Ever since then he has being a channel of spiritual revitalization and building to so many Christians all over the world. The church currently has several branches globally in about 196 nations (as at March 2017), including more than 14,000 in Nigeria. His vision is to put a church within five minutes of every person on Earth and that he is gracefully achieving. Daddy Enoch Adejere Adeboye is now 75 years, he is the national president of RCF and has won so many awards both locally and internationally an he is indeed a blessing to the world.

Moral lessons

I will just go straight to the point, the glearing lessons in the life of Daddy GO among so many other lessons are:

1. If poverty or background challenges was a criteria for failure in life then Enoch Adejare Adeboye would never have being a success. But if you agree with me that Daddy GO is a success then no background challenge whatsoever is genuine enough to make you end a failure. The key factor is God, find him.

2. There is a big difference between purpose and career even though your purpose could possibly find expression through your career. But be informed that global genuine impart is only experienced when purpose is discovered. Don’t just exist, discover the reason for your existence.

Its being Heralds with Julius Ojonugwa Akubo on Treasure network. catch you next week.

You are welcome to yet another edition of Love and you.

We will be looking at the part 2 of making your love a mobile paradise , as we shall be focusing on the topic:

UNDERSTAND HER LOVE LANGUAGE using the ideas of Dr. Chapman.

Are you having a little tough time with her and wished she could just read your mind? If only she knew how you are feeling, she would stop complaining, acting, or even stop putting up a fight.

We all express and feel love differently, and understanding those differences can seriously help our expression of love or relationship. In fact, it’s one of the simplest ways to solve the problem.

The following are the basic love languages:

1.  Words of Affirmation : Expressing affection through spoken affection, praise, or appreciation.

2. Acts of Service : Actions, rather than words, are used to show and receive love.

3. Receiving Gifts : Gifting is symbolic of love and affection.

4.  Quality Time : Expressing affection with undivided, undistracted attention.

5.  Physical Touch : It can be holding hands, petting, hair stroking etc with this love language, she feels affection

through physical touch.

She might feel loved through two or more of the above listed but she must have one or two that are much important her.

It’s obvious that we all show

affection in different ways. These

“languages” simply shows us those ways so you can understand her a little better.

When you know what she does

and doesn’t care about, then you are on your way to understanding her.

NOTE: We shall be discussing each of these love languages in our subsequent editions. Be sure to stay stunned and share your opinions too. Thanks.

This is LOVE&YOU on Treasure Network with Ocheh Emmanuel .

See you same time, next week. Don’t forget to like this network and equally share this post. HAPPY WEEKEND.

We would love to hear from you as you share your opinions or reach us through

 Entrepreneurship Today

Hello readers, welcome to another informative and educative edition of ENTREPRENEURSHIP TODAY from Treasure Network. I am your anchor
Aaron Iko-ojo

On today’s edition, we would be looking at the very heart of being an Entrepreneur. The foundation of every start-up, establishment and business empire. I know you already have an idea but for clarity we would be discussing VISION.
All great companies began as an idea in the mind of the founder, the ability to develop this idea into a vision determines if the start-up will succeed. Great and successful entrepreneurs have achieved their purpose and goals by setting a strong, clear vision and pursuing it with passion.

Merriam- Webster defines vision as ”the ability to see: sight or eyesight, something that you imagine, a picture that you see in your mind, something that you see or dream”. While Wikipedia gives a more simple definition:”vision is foresight: the capacity to envisage future market trends and plan accordingly.”

Entrepreneurs are visionary. Vision is what makes them dare: dare to explore, dare to challenge, dare to insist, dare to keep pushing, dare to have the determination to succeed.

As an entrepreneur, looking into the future and having a clear vision of your business is the starting point. This is because vision defines your business and lay the foundation on which your business model will be designed. Without a vision, every destination becomes a stop, every customer a prospect, every project a sale and every applicant becomes an employee.

Without a vision for your business, your product or services will just be like that of everyone else, no significance.

Last week we buttressed on the fact that everyone is an entrepreneur in the making, hence everyone has the ability to have a vision. The only requirement is imagination, which I believe every human being has the ability even the blind. Thus one does not need the physical eyes to be visionary.

Vision helps you know what your business will look like, what kind of people will work there, what your culture will be like and it influences the character of your business venture.

Facebook, google, Virgin founders and even the leaders of Dubai are all great entrepreneurs with clear and ambitious vision which has led to their success.

The business world is very competitive and companies without vision of where they are heading are easily eaten up by those competitors who do.

If you don’t deliberately create the time to look into the future by creating a vision for your business, there is no way you will survive long. Jesse Duplantis said ” if you cannot see a future, you cannot have a future.”

You might already have a vision for your business but don’t know how to achieve it, well the good news is no one does when they begin. My advice is same as that of Mark Zukerberg ” ideas don’t come out fully formed. They only become clear as you work on them. You just have to get started.”

Thanks for joining us on today’s edition of ENTREPRENEURSHIP TODAY from Treasure Network. We hope to have added value to you. I appreciate your likes, comments and contributions on last weeks post. Will love to see your contributions on today’s discuss as well as what you’ve learnt by leaving a comment. You are also free to share the post.

Thank you and join us next week for another inspiring and educative edition, I remain your host Aaron Ikoojo.
