On Heralds this week is…..
He is a Zimbabwean philanthropist and entrepreneur based in London. He was born on the 29th of January 1961. He had his primary education in Zambia but moved to Scotland to complete his secondary education. He thereafter proceeded to the university of wales where he obtained a degree in Electrical Engineering. He is the chairman and founder of Econet wireless.
What actually interested me most about this man abd obviously lead to his being featured on heralds this week is that he has used his wealth to provide scholarship to over 100, 000 young Africans in the past twenty years through his family foundation. Aside from that its also on the records that he supports over 40,000 orphans with educational initiatives, as well as sponsoring students at universities in America, The United Kingdom, and China. He has actually won so many international and local recognition due to his excellence in business and most especially due to this generous lifestyle of his. Masiyiwa is regarded as one of African’s most generous personalities and is a member of the Africa Progress Panel. He is married to Mrs Tsitsi Masiyiwa and they have six children.
You may be wondering what to learn from this legend. Its not far fetched, its glaring and it is the giving lifestyle. How often do you consider giving back to the society from the little you think you have. Little wonder why the rich keeps getting richer and the poor maintain their stand. The scriptures can not be broken givers will never lack. Stop waiting for the wealthiest people to give you, you also find someone or some people to bless and make happy to thank God for the way your supposed little blessings is affecting them. Learn to give back to the society and you will eventually find out that its part of the reasons why Job in the Bible was the wealthiest from the east. Masiyiwa may not be the wealthiest man on earth but over 100 thousand people have had reasons to smile because he existed. Yours may just be one person and not 100 thousand so find that person or those people.
